Inocean is a company that centres its business around conversion of tankers to FPSO’s, construction of drilling and production of vessel newbuildings. They requested some images for a presentation showcasing one of their drillships. They provided a 3d model of the vessels hull & steering house, the other details onboard were acquired from Xvisions vast offshore 3D repositiory.

The development of Bjørvika in Oslo city centre is a colossal urban development projects in Oslo city centre. Total construction area is approx. 700 acres, nearly 100 football fields. Good visualisations are essential in a project this size which requires a lot of planning and decision making. This lead to Xvision collaborating with Vianova, a company that operates in the management and development of infrastructure for transport. The surrounding Oslo city model was developed using photogrammetry techniques & provided by Vianova. Below are some examples that resulted from this partnership.

The production of technical handbooks for subsea design, manufacturing and installation activity is a core service at Xvision. The scope includes complete subsea production systems, intervention and work-over systems, subsea umbilicals and power cables as well as processing and boosting technologies. Our clients continually develop smarter, more robust and adaptable technologies to overcome the mounting challenges in the energy sector, so every project requires a tailor-made handbook.

A significant portion of my role at Xvision has been bound to handbook creation, which has included optimising workflow & designing administrative tools to streamline the process. Often a client will be communicating with several departments and multiple sub-contractors which means the content we receive is never consistent, in file-format or quality, so a comprehensive knowledge of software packages and effective technique is essential. The primary tools are Indesign, Acrobat, MS Office, Photoshop & Illustrator

Proprietary constraints prevent copies from being shown online, which is unfortunate because it’s top-shelf offshore aesthetics.
